Norfolk Broads River Trips
Our fantastic luxury river trips are either 1.5 hours long during the daytime or 2 hours long for our stunning sunset cruises.
Our 1.5 hour trips depart from the moorings at The Swan Inn, Horning through Horning Village along the River Bure onto Malthouse Broad and back.
Throughout the trip there is excellent commentary from the skipper and continual pointing out of all the wildlife around at the time, with background music played for the return journey.
The upper deck has inside and outside seating and provides excellent views across the reed beds. The lower deck is wheelchair accessible and has a plush lounge inside, along with our onboard bar. Toilets are also located on the lower deck and there is outside seating available.
Boarding begins 15 minutes before the departure time and well-behaved dogs are welcome onboard. Please scroll down for more information regarding sailing times, prices, wheelchair access and bringing dogs onboard.

Southern Comfort Sunset Cruises
If you have already been out on the Broads during the day or if you would like a longer trip do come and join us for one of our two-hour summer evening sunset cruises. Running throughout June, July and August on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, subject to availability.
Our Sunset Cruise takes you past Ranworth Broad towards the impressive ruins of St Benet’s Abbey and if the weather conditions are right, you will be treated to breathtaking sunsets which stretch for as far as the eye can see and are reflected in the still waters of the Broads. There is excellent commentary from the skipper and continual pointing out of all the wildlife around at the time, with background music played for the return journey.
Please note the sunset cruise times for June and July are 7.30pm to 9.30pm and for August 7pm to 9pm. This time change is due to the sun setting earlier in August.
Our Sailing Times
We operate from March to November, for trips during March, April, October & November we may run a reduced timetable, please visit our online booking page or call the booking office to check trip times. We aim to run all trips from May to September and our evening trips from June to August.

- Some trips do become fully booked, for those we may not be able to take passengers without reservations.
- We do occasionally have to change sailing times to accommodate private hire bookings and special events.
- For the reasons above, we always advise checking availability by visiting our online booking page, or by calling the booking office before the trip.
- Seating is on a first come first served basis.
- If paying at boarding, please note it is cash only payment. Signal in the area is poor therefore we cannot guarantee we will be able to accept card payment. We are unable to accept American Express cards.

Important Information
Licenced Bar – cash only
Our fully stocked bar serves a wide range of drinks, as well as snacks and souvenirs.
Please note the bar onboard is cash only, please ensure you come prepared, thank you. Cash can be withdrawn from Tidings Newsagents and Post Office in Horning. The Post Office opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturdays 9am to 4pm and closed on Sundays.
Wheelchair users
The Southern Comfort is accessible via a small ramp, the lower deck is wheelchair accessible. We are able to accommodate a maximum of 5 wheelchairs per sailing.
If you book online please select your ticket type (adult or child) and also a wheelchair ticket at no extra charge, thank you.
Group bookings
For 20 or more persons please call the office on 01692630262 to check availability and to make a booking. Contact us to discuss prior to booking.
Dog owners
Well behaved dogs are welcome on board, we have a limit of 5 dogs per sailing. If you wish to bring your dog onboard we must be informed when making your booking. Dogs must remain on their lead, on the floor, and under control.
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable trip for all you may be asked to relocate to a different area of the boat with your dog once onboard. We are unable to accept dogs on sailings which are longer than 2 hours. Please note it is ultimately the skippers decision at boarding, whether a dog can board. Thank you for your understanding.
